Analysing the magazine 'Vibe' to get an idea for the layout...

I was having trouble deciding what kind of layout i wanted my music magazine to follow. So i did some interenet research, and looked at the R&B magazine 'Vibe' The front page always had an R&B artist/s on the front, always looking at the camera, and usually a long or mid shot. The text is shaped around the image, and therefore it looks busy and interesting. The colour schemes are generally quite simple, and follow a pattern, which makes it look more sophisticated, and expensive. I think that i am going to design a layout a bit like 'Vibes' because i think that it is simple, yet effective.
